Pain, Pain, Go Away

AAARRGGGHHHHH!

That noise you heard traveling through cyberspace was my anguished cry.

I've visited my new Ob/Gyn at Kaiser, and I've been referred to the Center for Pelvic Pain. Yep, there is a center for it. That made me feel better, oddly. I shouldn't be glad that so many women have this pain that there is a center devoted to it, but I am glad that there is somewhere to go for help.

Unfortunately, the wait list is long, and my appointment isn't until March 3.

But in the meantime, my new doc suggested I skip the placebo week of my pills and thereby skip my periods. No problem there! No period? No cramps? Can do!

But the other pain is still there. The aching, the gnawing, the pressure, and the PAIN. I have it during the day, I have it at night, and I have it right now. Heat pads help, Advil barely helps, and the Celebrex that was just added to my list of prescriptions isn't yet helping.

March 3 can't get here soon enough!

Yeah, it seems that when you're in pain, the nearest appt is always at least 3 months away! I had my endo removed a few years agon and think its coming back too =(. My dr never put me through the regimine of stopping my periods so I am sure that didn't help prevent it from coming back. I'm getting sharp pain every once in a while on my left side.. are yours in a certain spot or all over your abdomen?

Thank you for posting this. I am going through a lot of what you've gone through and use your journal as advice. I've told my Dr about your PT and he said that he would recommend that I try that too. I going to try the lymphatic massage as well. It surprised me that my Dr really didn't have options for me until I brought it up ( from reading your journals) and only then did he agree that it may be a good idea too. Hopefully, some of this will provide relief. March 3rd is a long time for ME to wait too! since I'm on my toes to find something that works for you ( and possibly me), my pain has gotten so bad that I am going back to vicodin - I really hate having to be on that.

I'm glad you're able to take advantage of that Center. It is amazing that there is a center for almost everything out there. The hard part is getting a referral to go to it! So I'm glad you were able to get a referral. Sorry you're in so much pain. =( If you tell them your pain is really, really bad, can they get you an earlier appointment?
